The INTERMETAL company was created in 1990 to operate in merchant bars rolling. At the beginning the manufacter capacity did not exceed 6,000 tonnes/year. A major shift was made at the end of 1998 with the takeover of the company by the Snci Prosid (IPS) group.
This change of shareholders allowed INTERMETAL to evolve, after to an injection of funds and an important investments, that allowed INTERMETAL to become a leader in the steel sector thanks to its continuous innovation and the quality of its products.
Since then, INTERMETAL has created several subsidiaries which allowed to develop its products market and trading, and also to outsource some tasks. After that, The company decided to expand its production range to flat iron products by processing to sheet metal treatment.
